Reading Rock Star -  This is the 9^th year of our “read at home” program funded by the PTA!  Students in grades 1-5 are encouraged to read and document at least one hour per week of reading at home (45 minutes for Kinders).  They are rewarded for their efforts at the end of each month.  There will be a surprise school wide celebration in May for those students who reach their monthly reading goals for at least 5 out of the 8 months, September through April.  Last year’s celebration was a day of fun at the Gypsum Recreation Center!

VRD Kidzone – VRD Youth Services provides engaging life experiences for young people that promote physical activity and cognitive development in an inclusive setting where kids learn to make positive choices.  Staff members are active participants in children’s activities and openly communicate with children’s families.
